The Polynesian dialect calls it as Rapa Nui, while the Spanish says it as Isla de Pascua – this is the Easter Island that is a mysterious land of many giant statues. These are rightly called as the Easter Island heads as their faces are comparatively long as compared to their bodies without legs together rendering them colossal in size. Made from sole big stones, these astounding carvings are scattered throughout the island, simply resulting in pulling several million visitors throughout the year.
Situated at 2200 miles from Chile in the South Pacific, the island is shrouded in mystery due to these bizarre colossal statues that are named as Moai whose purpose is not known yet. It is believed that these monumental figurines overlooking the sea are the offerings made by the locals to their [...]
With a towering 979 m height and the single free-fall cascade of 810 m, the Angel Falls is aptly regarded as the tallest waterfall on the planet. This waterfall adorns the Canaima National Park – a World Heritage site in the Bolivar’s Gran Sabana area in Venezuela. Stunningly plunging from the border of the table-top Auyantepui Mountain, the falls is right named ‘Angel’ as the term in the Pemon as well as other local languages mean the ‘fall from the uppermost point’ or the ‘waterfall of the most deep site’. Did you know that the height of the Angel Falls is over 10 times more as compared to the Canada’s Niagara Falls?
However, as per one more theory that also seems to be true behind the name of the falls is that the name was derived from the U.S. pilot named Jimmy Angel, [...]
Lady Eleanor Roosevelt uttered “The Poor Niagara!” upon the first look at the Iguazu Falls. So, those who think that nothing can beat Niagara, for them, I would say, think once again! Taller than the Niagara are these incredible falls that span 3 km on the rim between Argentina and Brazil. In addition, even the width is four times more because of more than 200 cascades that render the horseshoe shape covering two miles.
Emerged as the result of a volcanic explosion, the water plunges from 553 cubic feet until 265 feet down amidst the tropical backdrop, which adds to the majesty of Iguazu. Geographically, the Iguazu Falls is situated in a virgin forest that is obviously a reserved area that is looked after by the national parks of both Brazil as well as Argentina that divide the falls [...]

Welcome to the land of extremes! Bolivia has been known for its several extreme descriptions as one of the craggiest, deserted, coldest, and windiest; most underprivileged and aboriginal country in South America, and as one of the wealthiest land of natural resources. Further, the cultural and adventurous tourist attractions in Bolivia put the nation on the tourist circuit. If you want to explore the nation fully, just be a bit adventurous and a proud visitor. As it was my first visit, I only explored its legally capital city of Sucre.
My Trip
Declared as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO, SUCRE is referred to as the most beautiful city in Bolivia as it is nestled in a valley of low mountains. So, the tourists are allured with its picturesque hotels of stay, wonderful churches, and great [...]
Many people think that in this smallest country of Central America, there might not exist a great list of attractions. However, the tourist attractions in El Salvador are really worth exploring, although they might not be that great as compared to other famous destinations. The amazing volcanic landscape and sincerity of its citizens are bound to make you happy and satisfied. But, the question in mind was about security as the region is also famous for crime. To this, I was convinced because of the protection assured by the trained tourist police group called Politur. Well, these guys do protect the meaning of the nation’s name that is the Savior.
My Trip
I started my trip from the capital, SAN SALVADOR that itself is nestled at the altitude of 680 m. It ranks second in the list of the [...]

No matter where you go, from Jesuit ruins to subtropical rainforests, the tourist attractions in Paraguay promise a memorable vacation for your entire family. In my first trip, I explored the capital and the Chaco region.

It was 8:30 in the morning when the breeze was still cool and sparrows were yet chirping. Under the clear blue skies, I thought of going out of my room and have breakfast in the open air La Terraza restaurant of the Ponce Hilton hotel. The weather was yet cool in spite of the shining sun and that it simply added to my fascination. This small island close to San Juan definitely deserves the attention of all tourists as it has all the possible features to be on the favorite list of the tourist circuit.
The small Mercedita Airport in this region of Puerto Rico has just two gates and runs only two flights that arrive before sunrise and depart a bit late in the morning. So, it is evident that not much tourists have explored this great destination. But believe me; attractions in Ponce Puerto Rico [...]
