Welcome to the wonderful mountainous region of TN! Spread in a small and narrow valley, this town is among the top holiday destinations on the planet. Since its landscape is mountainous, the destination is no less than a paradise for strong adventurers; all credit goes to its extraordinary outdoor activities. So, there is no doubt that some of the most thrilling attractions in TN are in Gatlinburg. Many tourists rent a Tennessee cabin standing on the mountains from where they take up their excursions or perch a campsite too making the region one of the most scenic and challenging places to explore.

My Trip

One of the top attractions in TN, Gatlinburg is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park that is world-wide famous for its best outdoor recreation. Even if you have some unique likeliness and small budget, you can find for yourself a cabin and a Tennessee resort, which are in plenty here. Some of the great adventurous attractions in TN are offered here in form of horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, camping, and just a relaxed walk to discover the natural charm of the mountains.

Are you interested in a spine-tingling, spectacular ride going up and down? Gatlinburg has it! This is the Gatlinburg Sky Lift that offers some of the most picturesque views of the town and the flanking mountains. A 1,200 foot vertical drop is sure to make you a sensational dive. Thanks to the idea of the lift that stroke in 1953 and then implemented ably.

The Ripley’s Haunted Adventure is for those who do not get scared easily and quickly. It is a perfect place to have some awful excitement with your family members and kids. Undoubtedly, this is one of the most fun-filled and family-oriented attractions in TN, Gatlinburg. Formerly the residence of the Grimsby & Streaper Casket Company, the edifice was taken over by the Riley’s two decades for executing haunted as the until the company disappeared quite mysteriously.

One more Ripley’s attraction in Gatlinburg is its Aquarium of the Smokies where over 10,000 small and large marine animals reside. The most surprising fact here is that the total number of residents in the town is less than the number of fish here. The main sights here are the tropical rainforest, ocean realm, systems control, and coral reef; which you and your children will admire a lot.

Visiting the Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park is one of the fun attractions in TN. The top attractions here are aerial tramway, bungee rides, water rides, go carts, a wall jump, shooting range, and miniature golf. Well, of these, many are challenging too for you to test your bravery. But, this is just a small list of things to do here.

Dollywood is one of the ideal attractions in TN that is a must to explore site. Accessible from both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, this is a popular amusement park offering exciting rides, first-rate live music, fun-filled entertaining activities, and a myriad of more special events. All these features are enough to pull thousands of tourists that come to explore the city. For a fully satisfying exploration of Dollywood, I recommend staying here for a few days.

If you are golf fan, the Gatlinburg Municipal Golf Course is the ideal place to be at. To play a golf game here is altogether a difference experience here. It is located in the middle of the Great Smoky Mountains, its track is among the most scenic in Tennessee and provides over 6000 yards of joy and challenges.

Go to the Gatlinburg Space Needle that is observation deck perched at the height of over 340 feet dominating the mountains and the town. I am sure you will love to have one of the most wonderful panoramas of the town. In the indoors, expect a laser tag, ancient photos, arcades, and a virtual roller coaster.

Do you love horse riding or want to try for the first time? If yes, the Smoky Mountain Stables is just made for you. Here, you enjoy the ride while exploring the spectacular scenery. You can choose from one hour to half-day guided tours that takes you via the national park. For small children, special horses are there for the ride, so you can consider coming here with your family.

Visit the area of Parkway if you are interested in some shopping. Here, you will come across a huge collection of handmade gems in the village-like shops. Further, the downtown is where you can explore over 400 shops and five malls packed with several great gifts and unique souvenirs.

One more attraction worth visiting is the National Antique Mall that houses many restored furnishings, which are really beautiful. Believe me, it is totally an exciting place to visit.
